I am not concerned about the long-term prospects for Canson Infinity, and I can assure you they are as committed as they have ever been to the digital fine art paper market. Photo Plus Expo, an annual New York tradition and the largest photo expo in the united states just wrapped for the year, but if you missed this one, not to worry WPPI (Wedding And Portrait Photographers International), held annually in Las Vegas, is right around the corner in late February of 2019. However, they are under “new management” as they say, and so have decided to staff the booth with employees only. I am still a Canson ambassador and strongly believe their papers are still the best in the industry. While I’ve enjoyed being a guest artist at the Canson Infinity booth the past six years in a row, I will not be in attendance this year with Canson. It’s also a chance to visit with smaller companies as well, including FLM which will be showing some of their products at the B&H booth.
The ultimate experience for anyone with an interest in photo, video, and visual storytelling to get up-to-date with latest industry trends. It’s the largest photo convention in North America and all of the major manufacturers are showing their latest and greatest products. PHOTOPLUS was founded in 1983, and is the largest photography and imaging event in North America. PhotoPlus Expo takes place this week Oct 26th-28th at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC, so if you’re in the area I think it’s worth the visit.
